School Immunizations

Immunization Requirements

The Dekalb County Medical Committee has donated three upgraded defibrillators (AEDs) for the Elementary, High School, and the new Multipurpose/Weightlifting facility. We would like to thank the committee for this important upgrade as our old ones were becoming outdated. 



 


Managing Allergies in School

- 8.4% of U.S. children under age 18 have allergic rhinitis (hay fever);
- 10% have respiratory allergies;
- 5.4% have food allergies; and
- 11.6% have skin allergies (hives or eczema).

Tri-County Health Department will be at Maysville R-1 School on Tuesday April 11th at 1pm for the 7th and 11th grade students who need updated immunizations for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.  


*MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccine is due for all incoming Seniors


*Tdap (tetanus,diphtheria, and pertussis) and MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccines are due for all incoming 8th grade students.
